About Us

The Bonazzi Foundation for the Promotion of Science Education was founded with a grant from Robert and Katherine Bonazzi to provide support for students and teachers to become proficient science educators. It is an independent 501(c) 3 foundation. It has no employees and no one receives any compensation. All monies are invested for the sole purpose of promoting the foundation’s goals and philosophy.

We have been involved in public education for our entire careers. During that time, we have observed the need for high quality science instruction. The foundation allows us to support worthy students and organizations to help support quality instruction in the sciences.

We Wish To...

-Inspire children through high quality science instruction and instill a love of education
-Inspire love of science
-Motivate children to love inquiry into the sciences
-Support high quality education
-Help teachers help students
-Help build the next generation of science educators
-Insure access for people of color and women in science education
-Support the good works of other organizations, such as museums, associations, and facilities that strive to build high quality science instruction

Our Principles

-To provide high quality instruction
-To provide access to education
-To help build the next generation of scientific educators
-To help build society’s understanding of the role of science
