When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it is tied to everything else in the universe.

Annual Report 2010

The Bonazzi Foundation for the Promotion of Science Education has had an active year supporting the mission of the organization. Through grants and scholarships the foundation has supported both practicing and prospective teachers.

In support of the mission to support prospective teachers, in conjunction with Mercer County Community College, the Foundation awarded a scholarship to biology student, William Ersing, in his second year at MCCC. Mr. Ersing plans to pursue a Bachelor’s degree and become a science teacher.

In addition to awarding scholarships to prospective teachers, The Foundation expanded its support of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance by underwriting its summer program for practicing science teachers. The Life Science Field Training Institute provided in- depth field training for 15 teachers.

Contributions supported the scholarship program. Accounting services have been donated by both Julian Wilner and Associates and the firm of Novak and Francella. Robert and Katherine Bonazzi have donated other administrative costs including filing fees, award certificates, and small gifts for scholarship recipients.
